To members of the Syrian Chamber of Shipping
We have received a letter No.389, Dated 16/03/2008, from the General Company of Lattakia Port to the effect that it is not possible to receive container-ships alongside quays No.14 and 15 because they are being equipped and the installation of Cantry crains that are specified for container handling.
Therefor, container-ships will be handled alongside quays No.10-11and 12 as from the above mentiond date till August 2008.
Please be advised that, during the above mentiond period drafts of ships loaded with feeds arriving in Lattakia port shall not exceed 1.8 meters in order that there are berthed alongside other quays.
