CIRCULATION
To Messers Owners and Opertators of the Syrian Ships
With referance to the decisions by the Maritime Safty Committee (MSC) and by the Maritime Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) issued by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to the effect that ships to comply with the following items:
1. Installing Simplified Voyage Data Recorder S-VDR for ships whos GRT ranges between 3000 to 20000
registered tons at the first dry docking after 01.07.2007 till 01.07.2010 in accordance with
SOLAS ch REG 20.
2. Obtaining the Statement of Compliance SOC before 17.09.2008 , the date on entering the International
Convention on the control of the harmful anti-fouling system. by the ships Classification Society
3. Installing water level detedtors on cargo ships of one hold only at first intemediate servey or renewal survey
after 01.01.2007 in accordance with SOLAS ch II-1 Reg 23-3.
The General Directorate of Ports hopes that the abouve mentioned shall be complied with to avoid the delay or the arrest of your ships in the foreign ports by the PSC.
